GRUNDY ROAD DEVELOPMENT

March 2018 - Currently Under Construction

A new-build design and build project to provide 16 supported living apartments with associated parking and landscaping. An ex-factory site with complex ground conditions in Farnworth, Greater Manchester. Designed to enable flexible accommodation for individuals with support needs, this project is due to complete in early 2019.

MARSHALL HOUSE

October 2017 - October 2018

Marshall House is a design and build project for a charity that we have links with in Leigh, Greater Manchester. We purchased the site and  secured planning to convert an ex-council building into a multi-use building including a cafe, office space, treatment rooms and 4 bedsits for temporary accommodation for individuals seeking support from the charity. The centre opened its doors in November 2018 and is providing much needed support to the local community.

BALMORAL CLOSE, BLACKBURN

January 2017 - September 2018

A previously mothballed site in Blackburn for 2 blocks of 9 apartments, this site had been abandoned for several years with the groundworks part-completed. A design review highlighted some significant internal changes required to meet the supported living requirements of our client.

Our site team validated the installation of ground beam and our design team, working with a timber frame supplier, re-worked the scheme adding a lift and making the necessary changes.

18 supported living apartments, associated communal rooms and offices were handed over to a local housing association in September 2018.

BIRCH HOUSE

January - December 2016

This project comprised of the complete refurbishment and modernisation of a 19,000 sqft 1980s printing factory on the outskirts of Huddersfield city centre into a 36 bedroom student apartment facility and a 12 apartment supported living facility. 

ESKDALE HOUSE

September 2015 - September 2016

Previously a HMRC office in the picturesque Lake District town of Eskdale, this building 18,000 sqft was redesigned and refitted to provide purpose built accommodation to assist people with a range of needs to live independently and safely, in the heart of the community. 

COLLEGE HOUSE

April 2014 - February 2015

College House was purchased at auction and our design team secured planning permission for the conversion to 14 large apartments. The apartments were modified during construction to be suitable for supported living and the building was leased on completion by a Housing Association specialising in supported living

FREEMAN HOUSE

May 2012 - April 2013

Freeman House was formerly the Little Lever Police Station and Community Center. Our in-house design team secured planning permission for the conversion of the victorian building into 8 apartments.
